Recently, Amazon took some steps to improve its cloud storage service Cloud Drive and make it available to a greater number of users. Last month Cloud Drive was launched in Spain and Italy which expanded the number of potential European users.  Yesterday, Amazon announced a new app that it supposed to facilitate photo upload and sharing within                                                                Cloud Drive on Android devices.

Cloud Drive Photos app is easy to use and enables an easier photo management for the Cloud Drive users. Photos could be uploaded to Cloud Drive by pressing an individual photo and choosing Upload to Cloud Drive option and no auto-upload functionality is available. Before you upload your photos you must be logged in to your Amazon.com account, but there’s no option to do this from within the app itself.

In the app you can see your previously uploaded photos as well as those stored locally on your device. The gallery allows you to zoom in and out the photos and to share them to a number of different services. These include social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter and Google+, but it is also possible to share them via SMS or even Dropbox.

This app can be quite practical for Amazon users struggling with a large number of photos. Cloud Drive account provides 5GB of free storage for storing files, photos and music and allows users to upgrade to paid accounts for $10 a year for 20GB of space. Amazon Cloud Drive Photos is integrated with Kindle Fire HD tablet already and is now available for Android users via Google Play.
